One of the key determinants of profit and growth for all personal lines accounts is Market Pricing underpinned by sound analysis and management of risk. You must be ready for a challenge. You’ll work within complex processes and structures, remain persistent and thrive during change to achieve tight deadlines. They are looking for an ambitious individual who is seeking first class coaching to progress them to the next level i.e. Market Pricing Manager.

Key Duties:

  • Ensure rate change proposals, analysis and MI reports are in line with pricing strategy and suffice internal quality requirements
  • Update and develop pricing models as required to enable the business to both price and manage portfolio mix effectively
  • Monitor portfolio/mix movements and recommend portfolio management actions to ensure effective risk management
  • Ensure model/data anomalies are raised and corrected via appropriate remedial actions
  • Keep customer at the heart of any pricing recommendations to ensure they are treated fairly in line with Customer principles

Qualifications required:

  • Excellent mathematical skills. 
  • Degree in a mathematics, engineering or computer science related discipline or evidence of equivalent proficiency

Experience required:

  • Good programming skills in at least one language (SAS, R, SQL, Python etc.), with a solid understanding of algorithm design
  • Modelling skills with prior experience in either Emblem/ Earnix
  • Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel/VBA
  • Proficient with Emblem and RADAR
  • Good presentation and influencing skills
  • Excellent teamwork ability
  • General insurance background
