Salary: £80,000 - £145,000 + significant benefits package

Are you working in a core finance function without really seeing where the progression is? If so, keep reading, you will be glad you did!

I’m looking for a qualified actuary with 5+ years working in a Reporting/Finance function who is now ready to make a move and see some real progression. The role is with a mid-sized Life insurer in London who have seen significant growth over the last 3 years with no sign of slowing down!

The role sits in within the core Finance team and requires someone who has solid experience across Reporting and Solvency II.

Whilst no two days will ever be the same, some of the work you will do will include;

  • Managing actuarial reporting processes on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Reviewing and understanding actuarial reporting content from UK-based actuarial teams
  • Working closely with other teams such as; Systems Development, ALM, Risk and Pricing to fully understand the business and it’s reporting demands
  • Supporting in the quarterly production of solvency and financial results.
  • Providing solvency forecasts and movement analysis
  • Having the appetite to get involved in wider business projects such as IFRS 17 developments, systems migrations etc

Ideally, you will be/have the following;

  • Qualified actuary with a proven track record in Life insurance gained at a Consultancy and/or direct Insurer
  • Ability to forge strong and influential relationships with wider actuarial teams
  • Strong IT skills including, spreadsheet and word processing software
  • Process development experience
  • Ability to link financial analysis to the commercial and regulatory implications
  • Solvency II experience
